Veteran guitarist/composer Mark Carter, who last regaled us with his 2022 Paul Brown produced #1 Chartbound single “Swingtown,” finds the perfect way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his debut album IT’S ABOUT TIME – with this latest collection COAST TO COAST. It’s a stylistically diverse Smooth Jazz travelogue that ventures from breezy, lighthearted, even tropical-tinged light funk romps about his home region of SoCal to more muscular, bluesy and edgier tunes inspired by NYC and Memphis. Along the way, he dedicates two of the collection’s most heartfelt expressions to the gypsy soul of his son Jason and the courage of his granddaughter Louisa, who has autism.
